Remote Jobsite Project Contractor:      Peter Kiewit Project:           Highway and Parking Lot upgrade, Rocky Mountain National Park Date:              June - September 2003, and June - September 2004 The contractor used a Port-A-Pour Series-I portable plant to supply concrete onsite for the construction of retaining walls, curbs, and gutters for a new road and parking lot. Because the road improvement was on a national park site, federal specifications were tight. A significant amount of colored concrete was poured with a concern that batch-to-batch consistency was critical to insure uniformity of appearance when the concrete cured.
